Connection guide · developer preview

Your accounts. Your permissions.

Executor is being built for Coinbase and tastytrade. Each order belongs to one explicit broker and account. A connection does not confirm a trade.

Managed account sign-in

The planned customer connection uses SnapTrade’s hosted portal and broker authorization. Choose a broker, sign in with that broker, then select your accounts and trading permissions. This flow is not enabled until provider approval, secure token storage and the complete connection lifecycle are verified.

Managed Coinbase support currently covers crypto. Coinbase equities need separate verification. tastytrade offers stock and options APIs; this Executor release implements only whole-share stock and ETF limit orders in its personal controller.

Plaid can support an optional portfolio view at supported institutions. Plaid investment data access does not grant permission to submit orders.

Managed connections are not available for purchase in this release. Connection pricing will be disclosed separately from the $0.10 accepted-order usage fee before activation.

Personal controller setup

The downloadable controller is a Node.js source package for your own accounts. It keeps credentials in an encrypted local vault. A signed desktop installer is not available yet.

  1. Download and verify.Use Node.js 22 or later. Extract the ZIP, read its README and install the locked dependencies. Compare its checksum with the published checksum.
  2. Create a private vault.Choose a passphrase locally. Keep the vault and its order journal backed up securely.
  3. Pair your device.Once Executor email sign-in is configured, create a one-use pairing code in Controllers and enter it locally.
  4. Add an exact account.Follow the broker-specific instructions below and in the controller README. Set a per-order limit. Live execution starts disabled.
  5. Preview and confirm.Verify the account, instrument, quantity, limit price and fees. An uncertain submission stays locked to its original identity until reconciled.

Your own Coinbase account

Create a separate portfolio-scoped ECDSA View-and-Trade key with transfers disabled, and import it locally using the README. API-key access is for your own account; customer access requires an approved OAuth integration.

The personal controller supports USD/USDC spot crypto GTC limit orders. Whole-share Coinbase equities use a separate account-specific readiness gate and GFD limit orders. Existing Profit Engine holds are not cleared by Executor.

Your own tastytrade account

Register a personal OAuth application and grant in tastytrade, then import the credentials directly into your encrypted local controller. Discover your accounts and choose the exact account number. A personal grant cannot connect other customers.

This release supports whole-share equity and ETF limit orders: buy to open and sell to close, with explicit duration, current account checks and a fresh dry-run. Options, short sales, fractional shares and transfers are blocked. Sandbox accounts can preview but cannot submit through the hosted service or consume live credits.

tastytrade does not automatically deduplicate repeated order submissions. Executor journals the original order identity and reconciles uncertain results instead of submitting again.

What is still being verified

Production email login, database deployment, payment settlement, broker-provider onboarding and account-specific live previews remain launch requirements. Installing this package does not establish a live connection or place an order.
